Just after 0240 hours on Sunday morning, Engine 512 & Tower 531 made their response as part of the Cecil County 600 Fire Box for the reported apartment fire at 18 Owens Landing Court. As those units were marking up, Cecil County Chief 6 reported an apartment building approximately 50% involved, requested the 2nd alarm assignment and a special call for two fire boats, which brought Engine 513 & Marine 552. As companies were setting up for a defensive attack on the main fire building, command reported extension to the bravo & delta exposures and requested the 3rd alarm, which brought Engine 515. Hose Company crews worked on scene for several hours, before the fire was placed under control. The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office.
