On Monday morning at 0900 hours several members from House 5 and FF Tripplet from House 2 met at Assistant Chief 5-1s Hurst residence to help him move. Just as the first table was picked up to be put in the Budget Rental truck the Hose Company was alerted for the 10-50 PI in Cecil County on Interstate 95. Deputy Chief 5w4 Engine 515w5 and Utility 571w4 marked up shortly after alert. Just as units were approaching the northbound on ramp to Interstate 95 units were placed in service by Cecil County. Engine 515 and the Deputy Chief headed back to Chief 5-1s residence to finally get the moving under way. After a long day of moving it was finally time for lunch paid for by the 1st Assistant of course…we thought so anyway… Just as the moving crew was headed to lunch the Hose Company was alerted for the dumpster fire to the rear of the Super 8 Motel on Pulaski Highway. Deputy Chief 5w2 Chief 5-1w1 Mini-Pumper 545w4 Engine 512w4 and Engine 514w4 marked up shortly after alert. Deputy Chief 5 was first to arrive with a couch on fire to the rear of the dumpster. Mini-Pumper 545 was next to arrive and was instructed by command to pull their booster line. Command then advised that the Mini-Pumper and Engine 514 would handle. Crews were committed for approximately 10 minutes and then cleared. Deputy Chief 5Packard had the Pulaski Highway command. Just after the Mini-Pumper returned to service the Hose Company was alerted for the 10-50 PI in the 300 block of Union Avenue. Deputy Chief 5w1 Mini-Pumper 545w4 Engine 512w4 and Engine 513w3 marked up shortly after alert. Engine 513 was first to arrive and advised Engine 512 and Engine 513 would be able to handle. Two hours later than originally planned The Movers were finally able to eat lunch which was provided by Chief 5-1. Also keep in mind that between 0530 and 0700 the Hose Company had a total of 3 runs.
