The Officers and Members of the Susquehanna Hose Company are proud to place in service a 2023 Midwest Rescue Airboat. The Airboat measures 8′ x 20′ and is equipped with a GENXI advanced hull structure, based on the highly successful hull patent 8,757,085. It also comes with MRA’s Flo-Max Technology, which is a standard in all Midwest hulls, providing level floatation well beyond government standards. It also comes with MRA’s new SCAD Clearview cabin design, which dramatically enhances visibility to crews.
The Airboat was purchased to help combat an ever increasing amount of shallow water rescues in our first due area and will be able to navigate these shallow waters with ease, shortening the length of time to complete these rescue operations. The Airboat is housed at Susquehanna Hose Company Division 3 and is designated as Airboat 5.
