On Saturday evening, members of the Susquehanna Hose Company, along with local officials and distinguished guests, gathered at the Level VFC Banquet Hall for our annual awards banquet. Attendees enjoyed a delicious dinner prepared by the Level VFC Ladies Auxiliary, followed by an awards ceremony and a night of dancing.
The following awards were presented:
SHCo Firefighter of the Year: Bob Goll Jr.
SHCo APGFCU Member of the Year: Robbie Perry
Chief’s Awards: Chris Mummau, Melana Carroll, Joe Weatherstein, Bill Reeder, Jonathan Scott, and Sam Cubberley
Additional awards were presented to Bay Wettig, Chad Myers, Steve Gamatoria, and Tom Phelan.
A Life Saving Award was presented to the crews of Utility 55, Medic 53, and Ambulance 55 for their outstanding efforts in a cardiac arrest save in the Bulle Rock subdivision in May 2025.
Congratulations were also extended to Bob Goll Jr. and Barry Hewitt on their induction into the Harford Cecil Volunteer Firemen’s Association Hall of Fame.
We also recognized Harford County Department of Emergency Services Director Rick Ayers for his many years of dedicated service to Harford County and his continued support of the Susquehanna Hose Company, and congratulated him on his upcoming retirement.
Additionally, our Top 10 Responders, Top 15 Training Hours, and Top 10 Apparatus Riders were recognized for their commitment and hard work throughout the year.
We would like to extend a sincere thank you to Banquet Committee Chairman Barry Hewitt and the entire banquet committee for organizing another outstanding event. We also thank Awards Committee Chairman Callie Yaeger and her committee for their efforts in recognizing the achievements of our members.
A special thank you goes to Level Volunteer Fire Company and the crew of Engine 112 for covering our first-due area during the banquet, allowing our members to fully enjoy the evening.
