On Saturday morning at 0747 hours the box was struck for 120 Wilson Street in the 504 box area. Deputy Chief 5 Chief 5-2 Engine 511 Engine 512 Engine 513 Engine 514 Engine 515 Tower 5 and Mini-Pumper 5 marked up shortly after alert. Dispatch advised the Fastest Volunteers that they received a call of a bedroom fire reported out at 120 Wilson. Engine 514 was first to arrive at 0751 hours and advised of light smoke showing from a single story duplex. As remaining Hose Company units were arriving Engine 514s crew found light smoke conditions inside with several hot spots still in the bedroom. Lieutenant 5-4 Berg then called for a line to the front door to wet down the hot spots. After crews opened up and checked for extension command held the assignment to one and one. One of the residents was also transported to a local hospital for injuries sustained during the fire. Engine 514 and Tower 5 remained on scene until 0923 hours and then cleared. Deputy Chief 5 Packard had the Wilson Street command. The fire is currently under investigation by the Maryland State Fire Marshals Office.
