On Friday morning at 1049 hours the Fastest Volunteers were alerted for the auto fire on Pulaski Highway in front of the Super 8 Motel. Chief 5-2 Engine 511 Engine 512 Engine 514 and Mini-Pumper 5 marked up shortly after alert. Chief 5-2 was first to arrive at 1052 hours and advised of fire showing from an auto on East Bound Pulaski Highway across from the Super 8 Motel. Engine 512 was next to arrive at 1053 hours pulled a pre-connected one and three quarter inch hand line and began knocking the fire. Engine 514 arrived shortly after and was instructed by command to assist Engine 512s crew. Command then held the assignment to the two engine companies placing the remainder of Hose Company apparatus ready. Crews remained on scene until 1112 hours and then cleared. Chief 5-2 Allers had the Pulaski Highway command.
