On Saturday morning the Hose Company was alerted for a child with his finger stuck in the chain of his bicycle on Fountain Street in the 503 box. Chief 5-1 Chief 5-2 Engine 512 Engine 513 Rescue 551 and Tower 531 called enroute shortly after alert. Engine 512 was first to arrive and confirmed the initial reports. Engine 512s crew was able to free the childs finger and held the assignment to the Engine Company. Chief 5-1 Hurst had the Fountain Street command.Shortly after units cleared the 503 box the Hose Company was then alerted for a 10-50 PI rescue at the intersection of Union Avenue and St. John Street. Chief 5-1 Chief 5-2 Engine 512 Engine 515 Tower 531 and Rescue 551 called enroute immediately after alert. Dispatch advised those units of a two vehicle collision with a door pop at location. Engine 512 was first to arrive and confirmed the initial reports. As remaining units were arriving Engine 512s crew was able to pop the door and gain access to the patient. Command then held the response to Engine 512 and Tower 531 placing the remainder of the rescue box available. Chief 5-1 Hurst had the Union Avenue command.
