Last evening, Havre de Grace Ambulance Corps., SHCO and Marine units from Division 3 were alerted at 1850 hours for a medical emergency in the area of Battery Island. Marine 5 went enroute with a crew of 5 volunteers. Upon reaching the area of the call, it was determined Airboat 5 would need to respond to reach the patient.
Airboat 5 was then launched with a crew of 3 and an additional paramedic from Havre de Grace Ambulance Corps. Airboat 5 with the help of a pontoon boat in the area then relocated the patient to nearby Marine 5 for transport back to the Yacht Basin to an awaiting ambulance.
