Just before 8pm on Monday, the SHCo was dispatched for the reported boat collision in the Susquehanna River, near the Amtrak Railroad Bridge. Marine 5 was first on scene and reported a 16ft jon boat and 20ft center console boat had collided. After a quick investigation, Marine 5 advised they had one victim deceased, one victim with non-life threatening injuries from the jon boat and one uninjured soul from the center console boat. Crews quickly worked to bring all involved to shore. Maryland Department of Natural Resources is investigating the cause of the collision.
