On Thursday evening the Hose Company was alerted for a report of a building fire at Prices Seafood on Water Street. Chief 5-1 Chief 5-2 Engine 512 Engine 513 Engine 514 Mini-Pumper 545 Rescue 551 and Tower 531 were on the street within 2 minutes of alert. Dispatch advised those units that the caller stated the electrical box in the kitchen was sparking and the business was experiencing a power surge. Chief 5-1 following by Engine 512 were first to arrive and advised of nothing evident from the AlphaBravo corner. Engine 512s crew entered the building and located the sparking electrical box in the kitchen. As remaining Hose Company units were arriving Engine 512s and Tower 5s crews shut the power off the building which ceased the sparking in the kitchen. Command then advised to hold the assignment to one and one placing all others available. Chief 5-1 Hurst had the Water Street command.
