pOn Friday at 1356 hours the Hose Company was alerted for an Engine as part of the 212 Fire Box for the reported house fire with people trapped at 908 Harlan Avenue. nbspEngine 512 w6 marked up shortly after alert. nbspAt 1401 hours the Hose Company was alerted for an additional Engine to fill out the assignment which brought Chief 5-1 amp Engine 514 w6. nbspBattalion Chief 2-1 Hinch was first on scene with heavy smoke amp fire from the front door ofnbspthe split foyer dwelling and shortly after advised of a basement fire with extension. nbspAs Engine 512 was arriving on scene command reported all occupants were out of the house and that crews would be transitioning to a defensive operation due to pump failure on Engine 213. nbspAs the bulk of the fire was being knocked down by Truck 1231s ladder pipe Engine 514 secured a secondary water source and laid supply line to Engine 512 which became the primary attack piece. nbspAfter the bulk of the fire was knocked down crews transitioned back to an offensive attack. nbspThe crews of Engine 512 amp Engine 514 opened up where fire was found and extinguished with a 1.75 handline. nbspCrews were committed for approximately two hours before returning to service.ppPhotos courtesy of a hrefhttpwww.facebook.comHarfordFireBlog fcksavedurlhttpwww.facebook.comHarfordFireBlogHarford Fire Bloga.ppp
