On Thursday evening, just prior to 5pm, Deputy Chief 5, Engines 512, 513, 515 & Quint 5 worked to extinguish this house fire at 463 Quaker Bottom Road, in Company 1’s area. Deputy Chief 5 was first on scene and reported smoke from the alpha side & fire from the charlie side of the one story dwelling. Crews found a lawnmower had caught on fire to the rear and fire extended inside the dwelling. SHCo crews worked for an hour before returning to Havre de Grace.
