On Sunday at 1618 hours the Fastest Volunteers and Company 5-9 were alerted for the 10-50 PI with an unconscious patient at the intersection of Pulaski Highway and Otsego Street. Chief 5 Deputy Chief 5 Chief 5-2 Engine 511 Engine 513 Engine 515 Rescue 5 marked up shortly after alert. Dispatch advised all units of a two vehicle MVC involving a camper and a mini-van and that aviation was being started to the scene for an unconscious patient. Chief 5 Engine 515 were first to arrive at 1622 hours confirmed the initial reports and advised the drivers side B post of the mini-van would have to be removed for patient extrication. Remaining Hose Company units arrived shortly after at which time crews initiated patient care and began stabilizing the vehicle for extrication efforts. After further patient assessment command requested a second Medevac to transport a second patient. After a few minutes of extrication time command advised extrication was complete at 1629 hours. One priority one patient and one priority two patient were transported to Baltimore area Trauma Centers by Trooper 1 and Trooper 6. Cecil IV691 transported a third priority three patient to a local hospital. Hose Company crews remained on scene until 1719 hours and then cleared. Chief 5 Hurst had the Pulaski Highway command.
