On Tuesday afternoon at 1556 hours the Hose Company was alerted for an engine to respond and assist on a 2nd alarm dwelling fire in Abingdon. Chief 5-2 and Engine 512 marked up at 1558 hours. Engine 412 was first to arrive at 2821 Henley Drive with heavy smoke showing from the two story single family dwelling. As units were working on the scene command requested the second alarm 1556. Engine 512 and Chief 5-2 arrived 1612 hours and were instructed by command to have their crew report to the alpha side and assist with overhaul. Hose Company crews were committed on the scene until 1718 hours and then cleared.
