On Thursday morning the Hose Company was alerted for an engine to respond and assist Company 2 on a dwelling fire 410 Washington Street in the 212 box area. Engine 514 w7 marked up shortly after alert. Approximately 5 minutes later dispatch picked up a second engine from the Hose Company to fill out the assignment. Engine 512 w7 marked up immediately after alert. Engine 215 was first on the scene with a 1 story dwelling with fire showing. During this time House 5 advised dispatch that Engine 515 was attended with a 5 man crew. After Engine 215s size up of a working fire Engine 515 advised dispatch that they would make their response as the R.I.T engine. Crews from Engine 512 Engine 514 assisted with extinguishment and salvage overhaul. Engine 515 was only on scene for a few minutes and was released by command. Chief 5-1 Carroll had the Washington Street command until the arrival of Chief 2-1 Budnick.
