On Wednesday evening the boys from the Hill loaded up on Engine 515 along with Deputy Chief 5 Chief 5-1 and Battalion Chief 5 and headed to Rising Sun for training. The Hose Company members used Rising Suns Station 8 Kidde Fire Trainer for the evening. Different scenarios were given to crews by the Chiefs whether it was extinguishing a fire or rescuing a rescue dummy. Just as the night was about to begin Station 8 was hit for a house fire in the 841 box in the 600 block of Harrisville Road. Deputy Chief 5w1 Chief 5-1w1 and Engine 515 w7 marked up on the box just after alert. Hose Company units were first to arrive with nothing showing from the alpha side. After further investigation it was found that there was a malfunctioning junction box in the attic of the dwelling. Command then held Engine 515 Engine 812 and Truck 8 on the scene. After clearing the scene Engine 515 and the Chiefs headed back to Station 8 to get the training under way. Hose Company crews remained at Station 8 until approximately 2130 hours and then cleared. It was a fun night for all and the Hose Company would like to thank Station 8 for allowing us to come up.Here is a video clip of a roll over from inside the Kidde Trainerhttpwww.youtube.comwatchvELnvuk2-zYEPictures courtesy of SHCo and Photodog Thanks Dog
