On Thursday evening at 1702 hours the Hose Company was alerted for Marine 552 to standby at Jean Roberts Park and assist Havre de Grace Police on a detail. Chief 5 and Utility 571 towing Marine 552 marked up immediately after alert. Dispatch advised all units that Havre de Grace Police advised of a possible suicidal subjects on the CSX Railroad bridge. Chief 5 and Utility 571 arrived Jean Roberts Park at 1704 hours. Shortly after arrival command requested the open water rescue assignment due to Havre de Grace Police advising that they could see a subject on the CSX bridge. The Hose Company Dive Team and Cecil County Marine 11 were advised to stage at Jean Roberts Park until command could advise further. After further investigation by Marine 552 it was found that what appeared to be a subject on the bridge was just a barrel. Command then placed all units ready for service on a good intent call.
