On Monday morning at approximately 0430 hours the Hose Company was alerted for the truck fire at the One Stop Liquor Store on Pulaski Highway. Chief 5 Deputy Chief 5 Chief 5-2 Engine 511 w4 Engine 512 w4 Engine 514 w5 and Engine 515 w6 marked up shortly after alert. Chief 5 was first to arrive with smoke showing from a grease tanker truck. After further investigation it was found that the right rear brakes on the vehicle were on fire. Engine 512 Engine 515 were next to arrive and were instructed by command to deploy Engine 512s booster line. Command then advised that the two engine companies would be able to handle placing all other units ready for service. Hose Company crews remained on scene for approximately 15 minutes and then cleared. Chief 5 Hurst had the Pulaski Highway command.
