Just after 6pm on Wednesday, the SHCo was dispatched for the motor vehicle crash with reported entrapment, northbound I-95 at mile marker 89.5. Deputy Chief 5 was first on scene, confirmed the report, and requested an additional ALS unit & Medevac for the transport of one with serious injuries. Crews worked on extrication for approximately 10 minutes before freeing the trapped occupant, at which point command reported one patient was deceased. A total of five patients were transported to regional hospitals, one of which was airlifted to University of Maryland Shock Trauma.
