On Thursday at approximately 27 minutes after the 0800 hour the Fire Rescue box was struck for 117 Vancherie Court in the 501 box area. Chief 5 Chief 5-1 Chief 5-2 Engine 512 w10 Engine 513 w5 Engine 514 w6 Engine 515 w5 Rescue 5 w4 and Tower 5 w5 marked up shortly after alert. Chief 5 was first to arrive at approximately 0829 hours with fire showing from the second floor of a middle of the group town home. Upon Chief 5s arrival Havre de Grace Police advised the Chief that all residents were accounted for. Engine 512 was the first arriving piece of suppression and was instructed by command to place two one and three-quarter inch hand lines in service. As remaining Hose Company apparatus was arriving crews were given various instructions by command including conducting a primary and secondary search of the main fire building and both exposures. Engine 512s crew found heavy fire through out the charlie side of the second floor and attic of 117. Between the quick work of the crew of Engine 512 and Tower 5s crew performing a trench cut the fire was quickly held to the attic of 115 and 117 Vancherrie Court. After the fire was placed under control Hose Company crews continued to check for extension performed ventilation and salvage and overhaul. Hose Company crews remained on scene until approximately 1030 hours and then cleared.
