On Saturday afternoon the Hose Company was alerted for the woods fire to the rear of 1041 Pulaski Highway. Chief 5-1 Chief 5-2 Engine 514 Mini-Pumper 5 marked up shortly after alert. Chief 5-2 was first to arrive with fire showing from the woods to the rear of the Aberdeen Proving Ground Federal Credit Union. Mini-Pumper 5 was next to arrive and was instructed by command to throw a roof ladder to a retaining wall to the rear of the business and deploy the booster line. Engine 514 arrived shortly after and was instructed by command to supply the Mini-Pumper with a three inch supply line and then send their crew to assist the Mini-Pumper with extinguishment. Crews made quick access to the fire found an approximately 50×50 area involved and began knocking it. Hose Company crews remained on scene for approximately 15 minutes and then cleared. Chief 5-1 Carroll had the Pulaski Highway command.
