On New Years Eve at 2022 hours, the reported apartment fire at 100 Revolution Street (The Graw Apartments) was dispatched, bringing the SHCo and mutual aid from Level VFC (Engine) & Aberdeen FD (Engine & Tower). As units were marking up, Harford County DES Dispatch advised they received a call from the occupant of apartment 505, reporting smoke in their apartment & the fifth floor hallway. Chief 5 was first on scene at 2024 hrs, established command and reported nothing showing from all sides of the six story multiple dwelling. Engine 513 followed, dropped a 5″ supply line from the hydrant at Revolution & Young Streets, and took the FDC on side delta. The crew then deployed their standpipe pack in the delta side stairwell on the fourth floor and stretched to the fifth. Once the crew made the fifth floor, they reported smoke throughout the hallway, which appeared to be originating from apartment 504. The crew forced entry in to that apartment, where they found an semi-conscious victim on the floor, smoke banked to the floor & reported to command that they had fire in the kitchen. The crew quickly removed the victim to the bravo side stairwell, where Quint 5’s crew relayed them to EMS, and then worked to extinguish the fire. Shortly after, Engine 513’s crew reported the fire had been knocked & they were opening up to check for extension.

- Engine 514 – secondary hydrant, deployed standpipe pack to bravo side stairwell, searched 6th floor
- Tower 5 – setup on & performed aerial ops on alpha side, assisted with search throughout, vented & controlled utilities
- Quint 5- setup & performed aerial ops on bravo side, assisted with victim removal in stairwell, removed two other patients (both later refused transport), and vented
- Engine 515, Rescue 5, Engine 214 & Tower 2 – conducted primary & secondary searches on floors 4, 5 & 6
- Engine 111 – conducted primary & secondary searches on floors 1, 2 & 3
- Engine 112 – Established RIT on 4th floor

48 SHCo personnel, onboard four Engines, Tower, Quint, Rescue, two Utilities, three Chief buggies, & one Safety Officer buggy made their response to the scene, while an additional 17 stood by at our fire houses.
