On Tuesday night at 2147 hours, the 0504 Fire Box was transmitted for the reported house fire at 155 Bloomsbury Avenue. Chief 5-1 was first on scene, 2150hrs, and reported smoke showing from the roof of a one story duplex. Engine 511 (Acting E512 – 1st Engine – 2152hrs) called their own hydrant at Bloomsbury & Van Diver Court, and stretched through the front door. Chief 5-1 & the Engine Company found a dryer fire, extending to the attic space, and quickly starting knocking fire, while the Deputy Chief established command. Crews made quick work of the fire & checked the exposure for extension, which proved negative. No injuries were reported.
