On Saturday morning at 1020 hours the box was struck for 220 Alliance Street in the 503 box area. Chief 5 Deputy Chief 5 Chief 5-1 Chief 5-2 Engine 511 returning from 213 box Engine 512 Engine 513 Engine 514 Engine 515 Tower 5 returning from 213 box Rescue 5 and Mini-Pumper 5 marked up shortly after alert. Dispatch advised all units that they received a call advising smoke coming from the rear of the dwelling. Engine 512 was first to arrive at 1022 hours with smoke showing from a single story dwelling. Engine 512s crew advanced a pre-connected one and three quarter inch hand line to the front door where they found heavy smoke conditions on the interior with fire showing in the living room. As remaining units were arriving Engine 512s crew put a quick knock on the fire and requested the next crew to begin opening up. Hose Company crews continued opening up where they found a few hot spots in the attic which were put in check with a hand line. Crews then set up a positive pressure fan for ventilation at which time command held the assignment to Engine 512 Engine 515 and Tower 5. The remaining crews conducted minor overhaul and remained on scene until the arrival of the Maryland State Fire Marshals Office. Chief 5 Hurst had the Alliance Street command.
