Finally on Sunday the Harford County area received its first substantial snowfall of the winter season. As all 5 Hose Company houses were attended dispatch put out the Rescue assignment the intersection of Chapel Road and Robin Hood Road 1808 hours. Chief 5 Chief 5-1 Chief 5-2 Engine 512 Engine 515 Rescue 551 and Utility 573 marked up shortly after alert. Dispatch advised those units they were receiving reports of a single vehicle with two trapped occupants overturned in the ditch on Chapel Road approximately one 12 mile past Robin Hood Road. Chief 5 was first to arrive and confirmed the initial reports. Due to icy road conditions all remaining Hose Company units had to stop short of the scene and go by foot to the scene. Crews worked for approximately 20 minutes and were able to extricate both patients. Both patients were then transported by Company 5-9 units to the hospital.
