On Friday evening the Hose Company and the Harford County HazMat Team were alerted for the construction vehicle with ruptured saddle tanks in the 551 box area. Chief 5 Deputy Chief 5 Chief 5-1 Chief 5-2 Engine 512 Engine 515 w5 Mini-Pumper 5 w2 and Rescue 5 marked up shortly after alert. Chief 5 Chief 5-1 were first to arrive in the area of Flying Ebony Place Bulle Rock Parkway and found diesel fuel leaking from the saddle tanks of a water tanker truck. The lines running from the tanks were quickly shut down which stopped the leak. Mini-Pumper 5 was next to arrive and was instructed by command to set up absorbent pads where the spill had occurred. Engine 515 arrived shortly after the Mini-Pumper and command then held the assignment to those two pieces and the HazMat Team. After the arrival of HazMat Car 2 Mabe and HazMat Crew Chief 53 Ryan crews were able to pump off some of the diesel fuel from the saddle tanks. Hose Company units remained on scene until the pump off was complete and then cleared. Chief 5 Hurst had the Bulle Rock Parkway command.
