On Monday at 0926 hours, the 95-93 South Rescue Box was struck for the reported 10-50 PI with people trapped on southbound I-95 at mile marker 88.8. Initial notes reported a bus overturned with multiple patients and entrapment. Deputy Chief 5 was first on scene at 0931 hours and confirmed the reports of an overturned bus with multiple patients, however no entrapment. Crews from Quint 5, Rescue 5 & Engine 512 were on scene shortly after and assisted with patient care, while controlling hazards. A total of 27 patients were transported, including two via medevac to area trauma centers.
