Deputy Chief 5, Chief 5-1 & Engine 515 (w/7) responded on this motor vehicle collision just after 0300 this morning. Initial reports advised of a multiple vehicle crash with injuries on southbound I-95 at mile marker 87.5. Deputy Chief 5 was first on scene and confirmed those reports, with a total of four vehicles involved. After EMS evaluated the occupants of the vehicles, all refused transport to the hospital.
The gold passenger vehicle had become disabled in the middle of the roadway, before being struck by a tractor trailer, box truck and mini van. The occupants of the passenger car had exited the vehicle prior to being struck. Units remained on scene until 0342 before returning to service.
