On TuesdaynbspRescue 551 placed in service two new Hurst Telescoping Rams.nbsp Eachnbspram has two stages.nbsp The first stage has anbspspreading force ofnbsp29830 lbs.nbsp The second stage has a spreading force of 14830 lbs.nbsp The longer of the two rams has a total extension of 34.4 inches for a total length of 59.0 incehs.nbsp The shorter of the two has a total extension of 22.6 inches for a total length of 41.4 inches.nbsp These two rams replaced two older style hurst rams that 551 gave to Engine 515.nbsp Division 4 would like to thank the Board of Directors and Assistant Chief Scott Hurst for the purchase of these two peices of equipmentnbspnbsp
