On Wednesday afternoon the Hose Company was alerted for the 10-50 PI with subjects trapped at the intersection of Superior Street MD Route 155 and Ohio Street. Deputy Chief 5 Chief 5-1 Chief 5-2 Engine 512 w6 Engine 515 w9 Rescue 5 w8 and Tower 5 w5 marked up shortly after alert. Dispatch advised all units of a two vehicle collision with one subject trapped. Deputy Chief 5 was first to arrive and confirmed the initial reports and advised of a vehicle over an embankment. Engine Company 512 was next to arrive established patient care pulled a pre-connected 1 and 34 inch hand line to cover during extrication. Engine Company 515 was next to arrive at which time the crew stabilized the vehicle and began popping the drivers side door. Rescue 5 Tower 5 arrived shortly after and assisted with extrication. The patient was extricated in approximately 5 minutes after the arrival of the Fastest Volunteers and was then transported to a local hospital by Paramedic 591. Hose Company crews were on scene for approximately 20 minutes and then cleared. Deputy Chief 5 Packard had the Superior Street command.
