On Monday evening 1813 hours the box alarm was struck for 565 Pennington Avenue in the 502 box area. Chief 5 Chief 5-2 Engine 511 Engine 512 Engine 513 Engine 514 Engine 515 Tower 5 all marked up by 1816 hours. Dispatch advised those units that they received one call advising of flames from the residence. Chief 5-2 was first to arrive 1815 hours with nothing evident. As remaining units were arriving command advised there was fire on the exterior of the dwelling with exposure to the front of the residence. Command then advised that Engine 512 Tower 5 would be able to handle. Crews knocked the fire with Engine 512s booster line and checked for any extension in the dwelling which proved negative. All units were clear by 1826 hours. Chief 5 Hurst had the Pennington Avenue command.
