On Monday afternoon at 1426 hours the Rescue box was struck for 1834 Pulaski Highway in the 542 box area. Chief 5-2 Engine 512 Engine 513 Engine 515 Rescue 5 Tower 5 marked up shortly after alert. Dispatch advised all units that they were receiving multiple reports of an overturned dump truck with one trapped. Chief 5-2 was first to arrive at 1431 hours and advised he had one overturned however no one was trapped. Shortly after his arrival command requested the Harford County Hazmat Team for a large diesel fuel spill and also to pump off the remaining fuel in the saddle tanks. Also at that time command requested BGE for downed power lines which were resting on the truck. Remaining Hose Company units arrived shortly after established patient care and began checking for other hazards. At 1436 hours command special called Mini-Pumper 5 for Hazmat supplies until the arrival of the Harford County Hazmat Team. Mini-Pumper 5 marked up immediately after alert and arrived shortly after. At 1440 hours command held Engine 512 Engine 515 Rescue 5 Mini-Pumper 5 on the scene and placed the remainder of the assignment ready. Crews remained on the scene until the arrival of the Hazmat Team and BGE and then cleared. The patient was transported by Cecil Ambulance 692 to a Delaware Trauma Center. Chief 5-2 Allers held the Pulaski Highway command.While Hose Company units were operating on the scene a passerby with a laceration from a chainsaw stopped at the scene for medical attention. This patient was transported to a local hospital by Company 5-9. Also during this time a second 10-50 PI occured at the same location which was handled by Rescue 5 and Company 5-9.
