FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE May 29 2007For more information contact Public Information Officer Susan Collins 410-588-5780Fire Siren Changing Sound in Havre de Grace Havre de Grace residents starting today May 29 will notice a distinctive new siren sound when the Susquehanna Hose Company is alerted for a fire call. This siren tone will issue three blasts lasting a total of 15 seconds unlike the South East Warning System siren which has a long steady blast followed by a voice message. The new siren handling both types of alerts is located at the intersection of Juniata Street and Pennington Avenue next to the Havre de Grace High School tennis courts. The new state of the art system allows two different kinds of warnings to be issued from one device said Harford County Electronic Services Technician J. Franklin Hawley of the Emergency Operations Division.
