On Saturday November 18th, members of the Hose Company competed in the annual SHCo Firefighter Olympics at Bill Bateman’s Bistro. Competitors took part in a timed four part course, which included the following:
- Tower Climb with hose raise
- Keiser Sled
- Charged Hoseline drag & flow
- Dummy drag
Winners were awarded by individual stations & also best overall. Here at the results:
- Fastest Tower Climb & hose raise: Charlie Maddox – 39.16 seconds
- Fastest Keiser Sled: Mike Trimble – 10.12 seconds
- Fastest Charged Hoseline drag & flow: Chad Myers – 11.36 seconds
- Fastest Dummy Drag: Charlie Maddox – 13.8 seconds
- Fastest Overall Time: Charlie Maddox – 1:35.01
It was a great morning of competition & we’d like to once again congratulate the winners and all those who participated. We’d also like to send a special thanks to Bill Bateman’s for hosting the event & for providing free breakfast to all Hose Company members.
