pOn Sunday December 6 around 1430 hrs the Susquehanna Hose Company was alerted for Rescue Box 570 South for two subjects in the water.nbsp Chief 5 Chief 5-1 Chief 5-2 Rescue 551 Utility 571 with Marine 552 all went enroute within minutes.nbsp Perry Point Marine 11 and Aberdeen Proving Ground Marine 12 also went enroute.nbsp Units were advised there was one subject in the water with a lifevest on and another patient on the boat.nbsp The vessel was apparently involved in a boating accident.nbsp Chief 5-2 was first to arrive and had a visual of a boat with one subject in the water and one on the vessel.nbsp Chief 5 arrived along with Marine 552 and established the command at Tydings Park.nbsp Chief 5-2 maintained a visual on the vessel from the Bayou Apartments.nbsp Ambulance 591 and 591 arrived and Chief 5 advised one medic to board Marine 552.nbsp Within minutes of the original call Marine 552 was launched and enroute to the vessel.nbsp Marine 552 arrived on the scene and immediately pulled the subject from the water and began patient care while enroute back to Tydings Park.nbsp The second subject also boarded Marine 552.nbsp Command advised Medic 591 and 592 to relocate to the fuel pier to meet Marine 552 due to the fact in was much quicker and the subject was suffering traumatic injuries along with being in the cold water for 25 minutes.nbsp Marine 552 arrived and was assisted by the crew of Rescue 551 with getting the patient from off the Marine unit to Medic 591.nbsp The Medic unit immediately went enroute to Harford Memorial Hospital while the second subject was transported to Bayview Trauma by Medic 592.nbsp The crew of Marine 552 and Medics 591-592 should be commended on their life saving efforts.nbsp Marine 552 crew consisted of U571 operator Lt. Keith Beckley Marine 552 operator Bay Wettig Firefighters Jim Miller and Allen Dinnan.nbsp Great job done by all.p
