divOnce again on Tuesday the Harford County area was bombarded by several inches of heavy rain.nbsp An additional 3-4 inches of rain saturated the area.nbsp Due to this the SHCo Swiftwater Strike Team was activated.nbsp Crews assembled at Company 5 House 3 and then relocated to Company 4 House 1.nbsp Crews werent standing by for long before the first Swiftwater Rescue Box was dispatched.nbsp The Swiftwater Rescue box was struck out for the intersection of Carrs Mill Road amp Vale Road in the 1304 box area.nbsp Swiftwater Unit 586 Marine 553 amp Dive Unit 585 called enroute immediately.nbsp Dispatch advised all units that they were receiving reports of a vehicle trapped in swiftwater with several occupants in the vehicle.nbsp Company 13 units were first to arrive and confirmed the initial reports.nbsp The SHCo Strike Team arrived shortly after amp began deploying personnel amp equipment.nbsp After the Strike Team assessed the scene it was found that the victims were not in need of rescue however were mearly inconvenienced.nbsp Crews cleared shortly after amp returned to Company 4 House 1.nbsp Chief 13 Bill Vanarsdale had the Carrs Mill Road Command.nbsp Later that evening the second Swiftwater Rescue Box was struck.nbsp This call brought crews to Company 6s area Heaps School Road and Broad Creek.nbsp Dispatch advised all units they were receiving reports of a subject being swept from his vehicle amp was now stranded in a tree.nbsp SHCo units arrived shortly after and began deploying equipment amp personnel.nbsp The victim was located in a tree approximately 150 feet from his vehicle.nbsp While personnel prepared Marine 553 for launch two personnel located amp deactivated an electric fence pulser.nbsp When the all clear was given by spotters in the area Marine 553 launched amp made its way to the victim.nbsp Once crews reached the tree the victim was supplied with a life jacket amp a safety helmet.nbsp After donning the protective equipment the victim was removed from the tree and was taken to dry ground.nbsp Crews cleared shortly after amp returned to Company 4.nbsp While standing by Company 4 the Swiftwater Rescue box was struck Carrs Mill Road amp Winters Run in the 1304 box area.nbsp Once again the SHCo Strike Team called enroute immediately.nbsp Dispatch advised all units that they received reports of a subject being swept down stream by swiftwater.nbsp Chief 13-2 Joe Woods was first to arrive and advised the barricades blocking this location had been moved however there was no one in the water.nbsp The SHCo Strike Team went available amp returned to Company 4.nbsp After remaining Company 4 for several more hours the Strike Team returned to Company 5.nbsp A job well done goes out to all the crews involved in the rescues over the past several days.div
