On Saturday at 1710 hours the box was struck for 201 Seagull Drive in the 558 box area. Chief 5 Deputy Chief 5 Chief 5-1 Chief 5-2 Engine 512 w10 Engine 513 w3 Engine 514 w7 Engine 515 w6 Tower 5 w7 Mini-Pumper 5 w4 and Utility 572 w2 marked up shortly after alert. Dispatch advised all units that they received a report of a dryer fire in the basement and that the house was filling with smoke. Chief 5 was first to arrive at 1711 hours with smoke showing from the rear of a single story single family home. Engine 515 was next to arrive and was advised by command to advance a one and three-quarter inch hand line through the front door and make their way to the basement. Upon entering the dwelling Engine 515s crew encountered moderate smoke conditions and found a laundry room off in the basement. As remaining units were arriving Engine 515s crew put a quick knock on the fire and requested the next arriving crew to begin opening up. Engine 512s crew made their way to the basement with a TIC and several hooks and began opening up. Crews found a few hot spots and quickly put them in check. Approximately 10 minutes after his arrival command held the assignment to two and one holding Engine 515 Engine 512 Tower 5. Hose Company crews conducted some minor overhaul and salvage and cleared shortly after.
