Susquehanna Hose Company Chief Scott Hurst and his wife Amy, along with Assistant Chief Brian Remines, were honored to attend The National Law Enforcement and First Responder Wellness Center‘s special hosting of University of Maryland Medical Center Shock Trauma Chief Trauma Surgeon, Dr. Thomas Scalea.
Dr. Scalea, a world-renowned trauma surgeon who has served at Shock Trauma since 1997, is widely respected throughout the first responder community. He is especially known for the personal interest he takes in the care and well-being of the first responders he works alongside.
