The Susquehanna Hose Company would like to recognize Firefighters Jim Simpers and Jim Hawkins as the Firefighters of the Month for January 2008. Jim Simpers takes care of the SCBA maintenance and the Air Cascade System for our Company. He also just recently gave the Air Cascade room a much needed cleaning and completely re-organized it. Jim also assists the 1st Assistant Chief with taking apparatus to and from scheduled maintenance appointments.Jim Hawkins was nominated this month for removing 2 of the old jumpseats that were not equipped with SCBA and installing 2 jumpseats that were to our Engine Company 515. Now Engine Company 515 has 9 SCBA riding positions.Congratulations to these gentlemen for their hard work and dedication. These Firefighters will be recognized at the Havre de Grace City Council Meeting on March 4 2008 at City Hall.
