The Susquehanna Hose Company swiftwaterdive team along with the Harford County TRT was called to the scene of a boating accident that occurred on Sunday April 29th. The Hose Company was dispatched on Monday to help with the search. Swiftwater unit 586 towing Swiftwater boat 554 and Dive Rescue 585 towing Swiftwater boat 553 marked up shortly after alert. On Sunday at approximately 1437 hours a family of 6 4 adults 2 teenagers were above the Holtwood Dam that runs between Lancaster York County Pennsylvannia when the boat suddenly went over the dam. All except for a 16 year old female were rescued from an island by helicopter. After spending many hours on Sunday searching the search was called off. The next morning the Hose Company was alerted to assist with the search. The Hose Company searched islands with marine units also took search dogs to search the area. Due to the swift current of the river the dive team was unable to dive. Hose Company crews remained on scene until approximately 1900 hours and then cleared due to darkness.The search continues for the missing teenager.
