On Sunday at 0305 hours the Hose Company was alerted for an Engine as part of the 154 box assignment for fire reported from the front door of 4151 Quail Way. Chief 5-2 and Engine 515 w9 marked up shortly after alert. Dispatch advised units enroute that they received a report of fire around the front door of the dwelling. Chief 5-2 was first to arrive at approximately 0311 hours with fire through the roof of a one story single family. The Hose Company was then alerted for an additional two engines to make up the assignment. Chief 5 Engine 512 w7 and Engine 513 w7 marked up immediately after alert. Engine 515 was the first arriving engine and quickly placed three one and three quarter inch hand lines in service. Engine 512 arrived as the third due engine and placed Engine 515s two and a half inch preconnected hand line in service and also dumped its tank load in to Tanker 121. Crews from Companies 1 2 5 Station 12 Aberdeen quickly began knocking the fire and command placed the fire under control at approximately 0355 hours. Crews conducted overhaul for approximately two additional hours and cleared at approximately 0600 hours. The fire is currently under investgation by the Maryland State Fire Marshals Office.
