On Thursday morning at approximately 0423 hours the Hose Company was alerted for the stabbing on Garfield Road in the area of Garfield Court. Chief 5 Deputy Chief 5 Chief 5-1 Chief 5-2 Engine 515 Rescue 5 Tower 5 marked up shortly after alert. Chief 5 was first to arrive and located a subject with multiple stab wounds to the head and chest. Engine 515 Tower 5 and the remaining Chiefs arrived shortly after and assisted Chief 5 with establishing patient care. As crews were assessing the patient command was notified of a second victim in the area of Ohio Street and Superior Street. Command advised Rescue 5 to make their response to that location. Upon Rescue 5s arrival the crew found a second victim with multiple stab wounds to the head and face. Rescue 5s crew established patient care until Paramedic 292s arrival at which time the patient was transported to a local hospital. Aviation was started for patient number one at which time the Hose Company was alerted for an Engine to respond and set up a landing zone at the Pizza Hut. Engine 512 marked up shortly after alert and set up the landing zone in the vacant parking lot. Paramedic 191 Engine 515s crew packaged patient number 1 and transported them to the Pizza Hut parking lot where crews met Trooper 1. The patient was loaded on Trooper 1 and was transported to a Baltimore area Trauma Center. Hose Company crews remained on scene until Trooper 1s departure and then cleared. Chief 5 Hurst had the Garfield Road command.
