On Friday at 1414 hours the Hose Company was alerted for Tower 5 to respond and assist on the working house fire in the 800 block of Beards Hill road in the 214 box area. Tower 5 with 7 volunteers marked up at 1417 hours and arrived at 1425 hours. Engine 212 was first on scene at 1411 hours with smoke showing from the alpha side of a two story wood frame. Upon arrival Tower 5 was instructed by command to report to the basement of the dwelling and secure the utilities. Tower 5s crew secured the utilities and then assisted in salvage and overhaul of the dwelling. Tower 5 remained on scene until 1534 hours and then cleared. Chief 2 Hinch had the Beards Hill Road command.
