On Sunday at 0224 hours, Engine 512 (w/8) & Engine 514 (w/4) were alerted to fill out the 0402 box assignment for the reported apartment fire at 1402 Golden Rod Court. Chief 4 was first on scene at 0225 with fire showing from the three story apartment building with the report of people possibly trapped. Once on scene, Engine 514 laid a 5″ supply line to Tower 331, while Engine 512 picked up their line & pumped the hydrant. Both crews then reported to the interior and assisted with fire attack. The Engines were committed to the scene until after 0500 hours before returning to Havre de Grace. The fire remains under investigation by the Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office.
