pAround 1830 hours on Tuesday December 14 The Susquehanna Hose Company was alerted for an overdue boater in the area of the flats of the Chesapeake Bay.nbsp Marine Unit 552 Chief 5-1 and Chief 5-2 went enroute shortly after the alert.nbsp Marine Unit 552 was contaced by DNR and advised there were two hunters whose boat took on water around noon and have been in the frigid water since.nbsp Command 5 called for Marine Unit 553 zodiac boat to respond.nbsp Command also called for Aberdeen Proving Ground Marine Unit 1252 and Darlington Fire Company for there zodiac boat.nbsp Marine 553 arrived minutes later and after a lenghty operation made their way to the two hunters.nbsp The subjects were put on Marine Unit 553 along with their two dogs and transported to Department of Natural Resources boat were they could change and get warm.nbsp The two subjects were transported to Harford Memorial Hospital for hyperthermia and were treated and released.nbsp The actions of the crew of these units no doubt were life saving and they should be congratulated.nbsp Great job by all involved.p
