On Thursday at 2309 hours the rescue box was struck for Interstate 95 northbound in the area of exit 89. Chief 5-2 Engine 511 w4 Engine 512 w7 Engine 515 w6 and Rescue 5 w5 marked up shortly after alert. Dispatch advised all units that they were receiving multiple reports of a MVA involving two tractor trailers and a passenger car with one subject trapped. Engine 512 and Engine 515 were first to arrive and advised the incident was located in the northbound lane at mile marker 87.8. Crews made their way to the patients where the found one male subject partially pinned in one of the tractor trailers. Remaining units arrived shortly after and crews made quick work of removing the subject from the tractor. The patient was then loaded in to Paramedic 591 until the arrival of Trooper 1. Also during this time crews began putting a fuel spill in check from one of the saddle tanks of the tractor trailers. Due the tank leaking the Harford County HazMat team was alerted for a pump off detail. After all was said and done a total of three patients were transported. Crews remained on scene until approximately 0030 hours and then cleared. Chief 5-1 Carroll had the Interstate 95 command.Since the incident was located at mile marker 87.8 Company 1 was also alerted for the incident.
