On Tuesday evening at 1620 hours the Water Rescue box was struck in the Chesapeake Bay just south of Tydings Park in the 570-South box area. Chief 5 Utility 571 towing Marine 552 Rescue 5 marked up by 1622 hours. Dispatch advised all units that they received a report of a 16 foot Bayliner taking on water with two occupants on board in the Chesapeake Bay just south of the Tydings Park. Hose Company units arrived Tydings Park at 1625 hours at which time Marine 552 was launched. Marine 552 reached the vessel at approximately 1630 hours at which time they advised command that the subjects on board were ok and that with the assistance of the United State Coast Guard and Cecil Marine 11 the subjects would be brought to land. Marine 552 with the two subjects on board reached Tydings Park at 1700 hours and placed all units ready for service. Chief 5 Hurst had the Chesapeake Bay command.
