On Tuesday at 1146 hours the 570-South Rescue Box was struck for the reported person in the water in the Chesapeake Bay near Tydings Park. nbspMarine 552 was first on scene with an overturned kayak and one in the water. nbspAs the crew was attempting to pull the victim onboard they found that the patient had a treble hook through his hand which was attached to the sinking kayak. nbspThe crew utilized a pair of wire cutters to separate the lure from the kayak and were able to pull the patient onboard Marine 552. nbspThe patient was then transported to shore amp was evaluated by Company 5-9 for hypothermia and a hand injury from the hook however later refused treatment. nbspThe crew also retrieved the patients kayak amp returned it to shore before clearing.pp
