This morning at 1:15 a.m., the SHCo and mutual aid companies were dispatched for a reported house fire in the 800 block of Erie Street.
Units arrived to find heavy fire throughout the two-story dwelling with reports of occupants trapped inside. While crews worked to extinguish the fire, two deceased adult victims were located within the residence, while a third occupant was able to escape by jumping from a second-story window prior to our arrival.
One firefighter was transported to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center for evaluation.
The Office of the Maryland State Fire Marshal remains on scene conducting an investigation.
